is this a drone? blinking light.

Is this a drone? I spotted some blinking lights while driving through Cambridgeshire and then again from my balcony. There were about three of them all flashing at once, but I couldn’t capture a video of it. Interestingly, there was also a jet flying in the same direction nearby.

It might have been a plane, but I’ve seen lots of aircraft before, and their red lights are always visible. This, however, was just a pure white blinking light.

  1. It’s possible that what you saw could be a drone, especially since they often have blinking lights to indicate their presence and status. The fact that it was a pure white light could suggest it was a drone, as many drones feature white lights that blink.

It’s also worth considering other possibilities, like a satellite or even a high-altitude aircraft — although planes typically have a mix of colored lights. If you noticed multiple blinking lights in the area, it could indicate multiple drones flying in formation or some other activity in the sky.

The presence of a jet nearby could have made it more challenging to identify the blinking lights clearly. If you see them again, try to get a video if you can—you may spot distinguishing features that could help in identification!
