Canada’s “UFO Landing Pad”
As a proud Canadian, this spot has always been on my road trip bucket list! I’m curious to know how many of you have visited or would like to check it out—whether you’re from Canada or beyond.
Just to clarify, I don’t actually believe that UFOs or UAPs are landing there; that concept seems pretty far-fetched to me!
The UFO landing pad was inaugurated by Paul Hellyer in St. Paul, Alberta, as part of a Centennial project. Its purpose? To symbolize goodwill between humanity and any potential extraterrestrial life! Hellyer was a prominent cabinet minister during two of Canada’s most famous UFO sightings: the Falcon Lake incident in Manitoba and the Shag Harbour incident in Nova Scotia, both of which occurred in 1967—the same year the landing pad was opened. ✌️🇨🇦💜
Hellyer even claimed to have witnessed an unidentified flying object himself. Personally, I think he deserves to be believed!
That sounds like such a fun road trip destination! The UFO landing pad in St. Paul is definitely a unique piece of Canadian culture and history. It’s interesting how it symbolizes goodwill and curiosity about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. Even if you don’t believe in UFOs, the story behind it adds a layer of intrigue to the visit. Plus, Hellyer’s personal experiences certainly make it more fascinating! Have you had the chance to visit it yet, or is it still on your bucket list? It’s always cool to check out quirky landmarks, especially ones with such a rich backstory! ✈️✨
