Daytime sighting. What do you guys think?

Daytime Sighting Alert! What are your thoughts?
Date: Monday, February 17th
Time: 3:40 PM
Location: Southeast Portland, Oregon

I stepped outside to let the dogs out and, as usual, looked up in hopes of seeing something interesting—and there it was!

I estimate the object to be at an altitude of 20,000 to 30,000 feet. I’ve noticed that prop planes fly lower than this, while commercial jets are typically higher. The airport is about 6 miles to the northeast, so I often see aircraft arriving and departing at an angle.

However, this object was heading straight north and did not descend toward the airport. I eventually lost sight of it well into Washington.

Interestingly, my wife, who usually dismisses my UFO interests, was watching it with me this time and couldn’t deny it was unusual.

I also took a screenshot from a video and enlarged it; it seems to have an egg shape. Unfortunately, I can’t share that image here, but maybe someone else can help? Would love to hear your thoughts!

  1. That sounds like a really intriguing sighting! It’s always exciting when you see something unusual, especially during the day when visibility is better. An object at that altitude and heading north, without descending towards the airport, does raise some questions.

Since you mentioned an egg-shaped appearance, it might be worth looking into similar reports from others in the area to see if anyone else observed something like that around the same time.

If you have the screenshot, maybe you can share it on a platform like social media or a UFO community forum where people can help analyze it. Your wife’s acknowledgment of the strangeness is definitely a step forward in validating your experience! Have you considered reaching out to local UFO groups or observation organizations? They might be interested in your sighting and could help provide more context.
