Exploring Unexplained Encounters in San Bernardino National Forest: A Sightings Report

The wilderness often evokes a sense of mystery and adventure, but occasionally, hikers encounter phenomena that challenge our understanding of the natural world. Recently, a group of experienced outdoor enthusiasts reported an unusual and unsettling experience while hiking in San Bernardino National Forest. This account details their encounter with an entity that defies conventional explanation, raising intriguing questions about what may be lurking in the shadows of our forests.

Location and Context:
On a Thursday afternoon, a group of four friends set out to explore various trails within San Bernardino National Forest, primarily during daylight hours. The specific area of their hike was centered around the coordinates 34°12’43″N 116°55’49″W, a well-trodden region frequented by hikers and outdoor enthusiasts. Their intention was to enjoy the scenery and reach Clarks Summit, a popular destination within the forest.

Sequence of Events:
As they progressed toward Clarks Summit, the group began to notice strange behavior from their surroundings. One by one, they found themselves veering off the established trail without understanding why. When asked about this, one of the friends—who was in front—mentioned hearing a female voice calling for help, claiming it sounded “really close.” This prompted some concern, as the rest of the group could not perceive any auditory cues.

The group decided to investigate, venturing approximately 300 to 400 meters off the trail. Shortly thereafter, they became disoriented, unable to find their way back despite having traversed only a short distance. The environment seemed to shift around them, with a reported feeling of dizziness and disorientation affecting all members. During this period, the female friend also reported hearing the voice of the supposed distressed woman saying “I’m over here” and “Please help me,” suggesting she was injured or crying.

Encounter with the Unseen:
As darkness fell, the group made the decision to set up camp in a clearing, anticipating they would find their way back at first light. Before settling in, one member observed a tree near their campsite that appeared to be moving as if something was climbing it. Despite poor visibility and the challenge of wearing glasses, they discerned a shape that was transparent, humanoid, and suspended roughly 50 feet above the ground. The entity was described as being see-through, similar to heatwaves rippling across hot pavement, and was moving slowly and silently among the branches.

The group watched in silence as
