UFOs in Your Hometown – Premiere Episode Special Request
By Preston Dennett
UFO sightings span across the globe, suggesting that virtually every corner of the Earth boasts a rich tapestry of extraterrestrial encounters. But how accurate is this claim? Recently, I invited viewers to share locations they were curious about, asking if UFOs had ever visited their hometowns. The response was overwhelming, with many eager to learn more about local sightings. As a result, this premier episode highlights ten locations across the United States—and a few beyond—with fascinating histories of UFO encounters. We delve into sightings, landings, close encounters with beings, and onboard experiences. Many of these cases are backed by compelling evidence, including eyewitness testimonies, photographs, radar data, landing traces, physiological effects, unusual animal behavior, electromagnetic disturbances, and more.
WENATCHEE, WASHINGTON: The UFO history in Wenatchee dates back to at least 1907, when multiple residents reported a mysterious airship. Numerous other sightings followed, featuring star-like objects, multi-colored crafts, cone-shaped vehicles, shiny triangular formations, and even a large solid object hovering over downtown Wenatchee.
SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA: Among the early sightings in Sioux Falls was a classic flying saucer observed in July 1947. By 1954, police officers in the area reported UFOs, and in 1957, officer Jack Peters captured a photo of a UFO while many locals witnessed strange occurrences. By 1976, reports of UFO landings surfaced, with some eyewitnesses claiming to have encountered extraterrestrial beings. Even as recently as 2018, sightings persisted.
PAYSON, ARIZONA: In July 1969, a ranch family experienced a dramatic sighting of a classic flying saucer near their home. Sheriff Deputy Loyce Hamlin and four colleagues reported UFOs in 1981; Hamlin recounted a previous sighting while chasing a plane. The late 1980s saw a report of missing time from a resident returning home. Sightings in Payson have continued unabated!
ALBANY, GEORGIA: In 1948, a pilot’s sighting over Albany was marked as unidentified by Project Blue Book. More pilot reports surfaced in 1953 and 1956. A frightening encounter in 1968 described a UFO disabling a man’s car. A surge of sightings in 1973 drew national media attention.
AALBORG, DENMARK: A flying saucer reportedly landed near a farmhouse in Aalborg in 1963, where a human-like extraterrestrial emerged and took the farmer onboard, witnessed by his astonished wife. More close encounters were reported in 2006, 2009, and 2011, indicating ongoing extraterrestrial visitation.
VISALIA/TULARE, CALIFORNIA: In November 1989, hundreds of locals observed the now-famous unexplained airships. Subsequent sightings occurred in 1952, 1979, and 2010. On January 1, 2022, a family captured three clear photos of a UFO hovering near their home.
PHILIPPINES: On March 8, 1968, over 100 passengers aboard a jet over the Bashi Channel were astonished to see a UFO pacing their plane. A mini-wave of sightings soon followed in Manila, with four groups of witnesses spotting strange objects with two human-like figures inside in November 1968. In 1979, many people observed a UFO landing near Mount Apo, and in 1991, a resident saw a UFO land near her house, where extraterrestrials emerged to collect flowers.

What an intriguing post! I love how you’ve highlighted UFO encounters from various towns across the U.S. and even beyond. It’s fascinating to see how widespread these sightings are and how they’ve been reported throughout history, from the early 1900s to modern-day experiences.
The variety of encounters—from multiple witnesses, photographs, police reports, to the accounts of humanoids—is absolutely compelling. The fact that many people feel the need to keep their experiences private only adds to the mystery surrounding UFO phenomena. It’s like there’s a hidden history in our own backyards that many are unaware of.
I particularly found the accounts from Wenatchee and Aalborg interesting; the detail of residents witnessing unusual objects and even interacting with extraterrestrial beings raises a lot of questions about what might really be out there. It makes me curious about my own hometown. Have you considered doing a follow-up episode focusing on even more locations or perhaps inviting locals to share their personal stories? Keep up the fantastic work! Can’t wait to see what comes next!
