It is time we stopped pretending like “psionics” and “remote viewing” are a real thing. There has been ZERO evidence about any of it. The Skywatcher blurry dots video was a complete joke. UFO’s and retrieval programs are real, but this “woo” nonsense isn’t. Enough is enough.

It’s time to stop pretending that “psionics” and “remote viewing” are legitimate concepts. There’s been ZERO credible evidence to support these claims. The Skywatcher blurry dots video was nothing but a joke. While UFOs and retrieval programs are real, this “woo” nonsense is not acceptable. Enough is enough.

I represent the 20-30% of individuals here who seek scientific or at least clear visual evidence, rather than distorted shapes in the sky.

There’s a noticeable disinformation campaign occurring, marked by the sudden pivot from serious retrieval programs and congressional hearings to topics like “psionic praying mantis humanoids” and “remote viewing.”

It seems as if those associated with these programs are attempting damage control by steering the conversation toward sensationalist topics reminiscent of an “Ancient Aliens” episode.

The troubling part is that many within the community seem to be buying into it. The general public is laughing at ideas like “psionic praying mantis humanoids.” This resembles cult-like behavior and is failing to garner any serious attention outside the UFO community.

This is not the way to achieve disclosure.

The community must establish a proper standard for presenting evidence. We can’t allow this cycle of nonsensical beliefs to continue generation after generation without any real progress.

EDIT: It looks like this subreddit is going downhill. Critical threads about “woo” are being downvoted, and supporters of psi are promoting misinformation by claiming “proof” from an article by an author who admitted that psi experiments are not replicable, yet they still believe in it.

The grifters have succeeded in creating a group of believers willing to accept their claims without any solid evidence. It’s become a cult.

There’s clearly no room for scientific critique regarding the nonsense being spread here. We either need to start a new subreddit focusing on a scientific approach or abandon the entire UFO topic and let the cultists and grifters enjoy their echo chamber.

It’s disappointing, but sadly not surprising.

  1. It’s refreshing to see someone call for a more rational approach in discussions about topics like UFOs, psionics, and remote viewing. While the fascination with the unknown is natural, we must demand rigorous standards for evidence to differentiate between what might hold truth and what is merely speculative or sensationalized.

Your frustrations with the blurred lines between legitimate research and pseudoscience resonate with many who are eager for clarity. It’s vital to foster a community that values scientific inquiry and critical thinking over sensationalism. The quick acceptance of unverified claims can indeed create cult-like environments that distract from credible discourse.

It’s essential to maintain an atmosphere where skepticism is welcomed and where claims—especially extraordinary ones—are met with equally extraordinary evidence. Rather than abandoning the community entirely, perhaps advocating for clearer guidelines and promoting discussions grounded in evidence could help steer the conversation in a more constructive direction. After all, a healthy skepticism could be what ultimately leads to genuine discoveries in this fascinating field.
