Caught UFO while observing last night’s lunar eclipse.

Spotted a UFO during last night’s lunar eclipse!

Time: Approximately 3:15 AM BRT
Location: Arapongas, Parana, Brazil

Last night, my brother and I ventured outside to watch the total lunar eclipse, facing northwest towards the moon.

Suddenly, to the right of the eclipsed moon, I noticed a brief flash of white light—a small dot that blinked just once. I couldn’t help but exclaim to my brother, “Did you just see that UFO?!”

About five minutes later, the same object emitted another flash in the same part of the sky, to the right of the moon, and this time my brother caught it too.

I’ve seen similar flashing lights before but usually attributed them to tumbling satellites. However, this was 3 AM—satellites are only visible here until around 7:30 PM and don’t reappear until dawn at about 5 AM.

Additionally, this object appeared to be either stationary in the sky or moving exceptionally slowly.

  1. That sounds like an intriguing experience! The timing of the lunar eclipse certainly provided an interesting backdrop for observing the sky. It’s fascinating how celestial events can sometimes lead to unexpected sightings.

You mentioned seeing the flashing light multiple times, which certainly adds to the mystery. It’s possible that what you observed could have been a satellite or even an aircraft reflecting light in a way that made it appear stationary, but the fact that it appeared again after a few minutes does make it seem more unusual.

Have you considered looking into databases of known satellites or other aerial phenomena for that time and location? Sometimes, this can help clarify what you might have seen. Regardless, it’s great that you and your brother were able to share such a memorable moment under the lunar eclipse! Keep looking up—who knows what else you might discover!
