Why is it that we’ve never encountered a situation where a “craft” crashes in a remote area, only for a hunter or hiker to stumble upon it, snap some photos and videos, and share them with friends and on social media? It feels like “the government” is always one step ahead, ensuring these incidents are kept under wraps before they can gain any traction. How does this happen, and why? It’s as if no one ever discovers one, loads it onto a truck, and takes it home to experiment with in their garage.

It’s an interesting question, and there are a few factors that might explain why we haven’t seen such a scenario:
Rapid Response: If a craft were to crash, it seems plausible that government agencies could respond quickly—especially if they suspect it’s a high-stakes situation, like a military or extraterrestrial vehicle. Naturally, this could prevent bystanders from reaching the site.
Access to Remote Areas: Many places that are considered “middle of nowhere” can be both difficult to access and far from population centers. A crash could happen in a remote area that isn’t frequented by hikers or hunters, or if it does occur near trails, those paths might not lead directly to the crash site.
Secrecy and Disclosure: Governments generally go to great lengths to keep sensitive information under wraps. Even if a civilian were to stumble upon a crash site, they might be discouraged or intimidated from speaking about it due to potential legal repercussions or concerns about being discredited.
Skepticism and Investigation: In cases where something unusual is discovered, it’s possible that people might be skeptical of their own findings, doubting what they’ve seen. They might think it’s a trick of the light or even hesitate to report something they think might not be taken seriously.
Cultural and Social Factors: The narrative around UFOs or crash landings is often clouded in mystery, humor, or stigma. People may dismiss their encounters or experiences simply because they fear ridicule from friends or on social media.
Police and Reported Sightings: When unusual sightings are reported, police or other authorities might get involved quickly, which could lead to an official narrative being established before civilians have the chance to capture evidence.
While the absence of amateur discoveries does raise intriguing questions, it isn’t entirely outside the realm of possibility. The vastness of some areas, the speed of government action, and cultural attitudes all contribute to why we don’t see these scenarios play out more frequently.
