The objects even performed impressive aerial maneuvers, flashing vibrant colors. When one of the witnesses used a mirror to signal, one of the UFOs descended closer. The objects remained for nearly an entire day before departing.

On December 11, 1958, at McMurdo Sound Base, amid a surge of sightings in the vicinity, AQI Roger Benson was operating a snow-tractor when he spotted a large metallic craft on the icepack, approximately 1,500 feet away. Curious, he dismounted the tractor and used binoculars for a closer look. To his astonishment, he noticed a slender humanoid figure with an enormous head. Overcome with panic, he fled. Unbeknownst to him, many other sightings were occurring in the area, some even documented on radar. Rear Admiral George F.
