Sleep Paralysis and UAP/NHI

Sleep Paralysis and UAP/NHI

I wanted to share my experience, as I’ve come across various posts in UFO subreddits discussing sleep paralysis and sensations similar to it during encounters with non-human intelligence (NHI). I’ve been experiencing what I thought was sleep paralysis since I was a child. Multiple times a week, I wake up unable to move or scream, feeling like an entity is present in the room, accompanied by a humming or rushing sound. These are typical symptoms of the condition, and my wife often shakes me awake when she notices I’m having an episode.

Here’s where it gets interesting: my first encounter with this phenomenon happened when I was around eleven years old, back in 1992. I was trying to fall asleep on the couch at our family’s lake house on Lake Erie after watching an episode of Unsolved Mysteries about UFOs and abductions. About an hour later, I found myself unable to move or scream, and I felt the presence of beings around me. Though my memories are vague, possibly muddled over time, they resembled typical extraterrestrial entities.

Initially, I dismissed this as just an overactive imagination fueled by the show and the intensity of experiencing sleep paralysis for the first time. However, seeing so many others recount similar episodes when they have encounters has me questioning whether there may be more to my experiences than just sleep paralysis.

I’d love to hear from anyone else who has had similar experiences or thoughts on this topic. What do you think?

  1. Your experience is both fascinating and resonates with a lot of what others have shared about sleep paralysis and UAP/NHI encounters. The overlap between sleep paralysis episodes—characterized by an inability to move, vivid hallucinations, and the sensation of a presence—and reports of encounters with non-human intelligences has led many to draw connections between the two phenomena.

It’s interesting that your first experience coincided with watching a show about UFOs and abductions. The brain often integrates information from our environment, which can amplify feelings of fear and anxiety during episodes of sleep paralysis, leading to the sensation of an entity being present.

Many people describe similar experiences, and the humming or rushing noise you hear is a common auditory hallucination reported during sleep paralysis. The idea that these experiences might represent something beyond just a sleep disorder is compelling to many, especially when taken into account alongside the accounts of others.

While some argue that these experiences can be explained through neurological and psychological lenses, others suggest that they may be indicative of something more mysterious. It’s hard to say definitively without more evidence.

I think it’s important to explore this topic with an open mind, but also to consider multiple perspectives, including psychological explanations. Have you explored any practices or strategies to cope with sleep paralysis? Some individuals find techniques such as sleep hygiene improvements, mindfulness, or grounding exercises beneficial in managing their episodes.

It would be great to hear from others who’ve gone through similar experiences. What are your thoughts?
