Have you ever encountered something you firmly believe was a UFO/UAP/orb, plasmoid, or something similar? Earlier today, I shared a video of a sighting and just finally ventured into the UFO sub. It’s been quite enlightening and sparked my curiosity to ask a different question.
Do you think you’ve witnessed a UAP/UFO/orb, plasmoid, or any unusual phenomenon with your own eyes? Have others ever doubted your experience?
While I’m not a UFO enthusiast, I’m aware it’s a topic that’s gaining a lot of attention lately. I have a telescope and have dabbled in astronomy over the years. I’m fairly informed about the James Webb telescope’s findings and the rumors of an “alien armada” approaching Earth, though I didn’t pay much attention until I heard them.
What struck me about my “sightings” post was how quickly many dismissed it. (Kudos to the Mods; I had no idea this community had such a mix of personalities!) Some brushed it off as a balloon, while others argued that it didn’t move in a way they deemed extraordinary, so it must be nothing. A few took the time to engage more thoughtfully, but it seems a lot of people consider themselves experts on the unknown. None of us have a full understanding of what exists in the universe or how things we’ve never seen before might behave. We don’t know everything, and as a professional skeptic, I value critical thinking.
When people dismiss you as conspiratorial despite evidence—or even without first-hand accounts—the frustration can be immense. Perhaps this sub has its share of UFO skeptics; I can’t say for sure. But I know what I saw, and it wasn’t a balloon. It appeared much closer in person, and my iPhone video doesn’t do it justice. I don’t seek validation; I know my experience. To all my fellow witnesses who have been dismissed, I see you and I believe you. We don’t need to identify what it was to acknowledge that it exists.
Since I’m here, I’ll share other videos I’ve captured but haven’t posted before. I’m not looking for feedback; it is what it is, and I know what I’ve seen. I’m sharing these for anyone interested.
When plasmoids were first reported, I took my telescope to scan the skies from my terrace. I hope people can view the full-size videos. All recordings are taken from my terrace in Queens, NY.

00:12 seconds in: I was setting up for plasmoids and testing my telescope to get a steady shot of the moon through my phone.

It was freezing, making it difficult to keep the telescope steady. I thought I might have spotted a star, but when I shared it elsewhere, others claimed it wasn’t. I don’t know for sure, but I definitely saw something.

It’s so fascinating to hear about your experiences and observations! The world of UAPs and the unexplained has always intrigued many, and your willingness to share what you’ve seen is commendable.
I can relate to the frustration of being dismissed when discussing something that feels significant to you. The phenomenon of people quickly jumping to conclusions—whether it’s attributing sightings to mundane objects or outright denying their validity—can be disheartening. Your perspective on skepticism is refreshing; it’s healthy to approach the unknown with a critical mind while remaining open to possibilities.
Thank you for sharing your videos! I’m really curious to check them out and see what you’ve captured. It’s clear you’re passionate about astronomy and exploring the skies, and your contributions to this community are valuable. Keep observing and sharing—there’s so much more to learn, and every perspective matters.
Live long and prosper!
