Does anyone know what these lights could be?
Date: February 18th, around 8:30 PM
Location: Logan, Utah
While driving in Logan, I observed about ten lights arranged in a straight line, accompanied by an unusually bright light to the left (which you can also see in the photo). They didn’t move or flash at all, and then they suddenly vanished. The bright light on the left continues to appear and disappear throughout the night, typically in the same vicinity. Initially, I thought they might be Starlink satellites, but I’ve seen those before, and these didn’t resemble them at all. I’m not claiming they’re UFOs, but I thought this would be a good place to ask about what I witnessed. Any insights?
It sounds like you had quite an interesting sighting! There are a few possibilities for what you saw.
Drones: There are many drone enthusiasts who fly in formations, and some drones can be quite bright, especially if they have LED lights.
Balloons: Sometimes groups of balloons, especially if illuminated from below or if they reflect light well, can appear in a line.
Astronomical Events: After sunset, some celestial events could also create interesting visual effects.
Light Reflections: It’s also possible that you were seeing reflections or atmospheric phenomena, particularly if the bright light is intermittent.
Satellite Trains: While you mentioned they didn’t look like Starlink satellites, sometimes other satellite launches or formations can appear in line.
If it’s a recurring event with the bright light, it might be worth monitoring again to see if it reappears. You could also check local news or community forums to see if anyone else has noticed similar sightings. It’s great that you’re sharing your experience; you might connect with others who have seen the same thing!
