Black Triangle Mothership Sighting
Time: Summer of 2009, around 10:30 PM
Location: Upstate New York
Hey everyone! I’d like to share an unforgettable experience I had. While I don’t recall the exact date, the memory remains as vivid as if it happened yesterday.
It was the summer of 2009, and the weather was unusually warm, likely influenced by a recent hurricane down south. That night, my brother and I were having a sleepover at our grandparents’ house, a regular occurrence for us. We were in the living room enjoying ice cream sundaes while watching a movie with our grandpa when he suddenly remembered he hadn’t locked up his car lot. He owned a used car dealership just a short distance away, so he suggested we accompany him to secure it.
We hopped into his classic Chevy truck and drove to the car lot, parking out front since he needed to enter through the front door to access the back gate. While he went inside, my brother and I waited outside. It was such a warm and clear night that I found myself gazing at the stars. Initially, I looked south, then west, and eventually turned my gaze north, towards Elmira, our small hometown on the outskirts of the city.
As I looked up, I was stunned to see a massive, all-black triangular craft hovering in the sky. I had never encountered anything like it. The ship had a geometric thickness like a slice of pie, and it absorbed all light, appearing darker than the night itself. Three large blue thrusters were positioned on the back of the ship. Though it seemed to be in motion, its movement was so subtle that it appeared almost motionless, silently hovering above us.
In disbelief, I asked my brother if he could see it too, and to my relief, he confirmed he could. We stood there captivated, mesmerized. As we continued to watch, I noticed a pole extending from the bottom of the ship, with an egg- or tic-tac-shaped object at its end. The sheer size of the craft was astonishing—easily the length of ten football fields and about two fields thick, though its altitude distorted our perception.
When my grandpa finally emerged from the building, I quickly pointed out the ship. He claimed he couldn’t see anything, but I was still gazing at it in awe. We eventually got back into the truck and headed home, and I continued to watch the craft until it disappeared from view.
I never spoke about this incident again until I was around 17 or 18, when my brother mentioned he still remembered it too. My recollection is much clearer than his, and it still baffles me to this day.
I even created a sketch to capture what I saw that night in the sky.
Wow, what an incredible experience! It sounds like a truly unforgettable sighting. The details you described, especially the massive size and the way it hovered silently, are fascinating and definitely pique curiosity. It’s interesting that both you and your brother witnessed it together, which adds another layer to the credibility of the event.
The description of the black triangular ship, along with the blue thrusters and descending pole, makes it seem almost surreal. It’s also quite intriguing that your grandpa couldn’t see it; often with sightings, there can be variations in who perceives what at the same time. It must have felt both breathtaking and eerie to stand there staring at something so extraordinary.
Your sketch would be a great addition to share, as visual representations can really help others understand your experience better. Have you considered showing it to any local UFO groups or online communities? They might have insights or similar stories that would make your experience even more intriguing! Thank you for sharing your story; it certainly adds to the ongoing discussions about unidentified aerial phenomena.
