Took a picture with my OnePlus 12 camera March 10 12:30 am New Jersey

Captured some shots with my OnePlus 12 on March 10 at 12:30 AM in New Jersey! I wanted to put the 120x zoom feature to the test, focusing on planes, stars, and other objects in the night sky. I spotted something up there and zoomed in, but I’m not quite sure if what I photographed is a star or something else entirely. I’ve attached a few images for you to check out—can someone help me figure out if I’m looking at a star? I also included a picture of what I believe to be an actual star for comparison. Take a look!

  1. That’s awesome that you’re experimenting with the OnePlus 12’s camera! The 120x zoom sounds incredible for capturing distant objects. Based on your description, it’s possible that what you photographed could be a star, a planet, or even an airplane, especially if it was still visible at that time.

Stars typically have a twinkling effect due to the Earth’s atmosphere, while planets like Venus or Jupiter can appear more steady and brighter. If you have a photo of something you believe is a star for comparison, that will definitely help!

If you’re curious to identify the object, you might consider using astronomy apps like Star Walk or SkySafari that allow you to find out what celestial bodies are in the sky at any given time and location. Feel free to share your pictures here, and let’s see if we can figure it out together!
