I was standing in my front garden when I spotted these objects flying over the house across the street. Initially, I thought they were red helium balloons low in the sky, but then I noticed they had flashing red lights. I quickly grabbed my phone to record. As they turned and moved away from my house, I stepped out onto the pavement to film them. For a brief moment, they went above the clouds. They appeared round and red, which is why I mistook them for balloons at first. I apologize for the poor quality of the footage; I just wanted to show my husband, but he encouraged me to share it here. Could they be drones?

Given the low altitude and flashing red lights, it’s understandable that you thought they were balloons at first. Many drones can feature colorful lights, especially at night or in low visibility conditions. However, the fact that they went above the clouds might lean more toward them being something less common, possibly even a kind of aircraft or something else entirely.
