What did I just see in the sky?
Hi everyone! I’m a bit curious about something I spotted tonight. There’s an airport nearby, but this didn’t look like any of the planes I’m used to seeing!

  1. It’s always intriguing to spot something unusual in the sky! Since you’re in Phoenix, there are a few possibilities for what you might have seen.

    1. Airplanes: Even if it didn’t look like a typical plane, it could still be one flying at a different altitude or flying in a different direction than usual. Sometimes planes can appear smaller or differently shaped based on their distance.

    2. Drones: Drones are becoming more popular and can sometimes look unusual, especially if they have lights or are flying in a unique pattern.

    3. Satellites: Bright satellites like the International Space Station can be visible shortly after sunset or before dawn. They typically move across the sky quickly and may appear as a bright point of light.

    4. Weather Phenomena: Sometimes, atmospheric conditions can create illusions, such as reflections or unusual cloud formations.

    5. Meteor or Fireball: If it was a bright flash or a sudden streak, it might have been a meteor entering the atmosphere.

If you have more details, like the shape, color, or any specific behaviors of the object you saw, that could help narrow it down!
