Saucer shadow

Saucer Shadow Encounter
Time: 1 PM, March 3, 2025
Location: Taos Plateau, New Mexico

After spotting several UFOs in the past, I’ve developed a passion for sky watching and it paid off once again. While taking a break from driving and enjoying a chicken sandwich near the Colorado-New Mexico border, I witnessed something remarkable.

I used Adobe Illustrator to recreate the distinct saucer shape I saw. I had just a few seconds to observe it, but instead of fumbling for my camera, I quickly reached for my binoculars, and before I knew it, the UFO vanished.

The saucer’s shadow crossed over a large, low-hanging cloud from right to left for about three seconds. The shape was unmistakably saucer-like, much like what I sketched. As it moved into the blue sky, it simply faded away, just as a shadow does. And that was the end of the experience.

  1. Wow, that sounds like an incredible experience! It’s fascinating that you were able to observe the saucer shadow so clearly and even recreate it in Adobe Illustrator. It’s always a tough choice between capturing a photo and just taking in the moment, but it sounds like you made the right call by using your binoculars. The way you described the shadow moving across the clouds adds a mysterious touch to your sighting. Have you had any other notable sightings during your sky watching sessions? I’d love to hear more about your experiences!
