Spotted something unusual tonight in Miami, Florida.
While driving northbound on I-95 between Fort Lauderdale and Miami around 9:45 PM, I was going about 75-80 mph. Just as we were passing under an overpass, a bright white light—slightly larger than a baseball—zoomed past us, just above the top of the underpass. It shot out at an incredible speed, likely over 150 mph, and made a sharp upward maneuver to avoid a telephone line a mere 15 feet beyond the overpass. The light then quickly banked left toward the Everglades, disappearing right as it reached the horizon. It went from bright to completely invisible in an instant.
At first, I thought it might have been a drone, but the way it made such a quick upward turn and sharp left was astonishing—definitely beyond what a pilot could react to. The telephone line was clearly visible against the dark sky of the new moon. Has anyone else experienced something like this? It really unsettled both my girlfriend and me!
