Seattle, WA – February 14, 2025, 1:13 AM – Two Orange “Orbs” Flying Southeast Against the Wind

Time: February 14, 2025, 1:13 AM (Local)

Location: Seattle, WA

I finally witnessed those orange “orbs” that people have been talking about right here in Seattle! I recorded this from Madison Street, looking out a northwest-facing window.

While I was working, something bright caught my eye through the closed blinds. I quickly grabbed my phone, but by the time I was ready, the first orb was out of sight. I managed to capture the second one, which followed the exact same flight path. I checked ADS-B Exchange, but there were no transponder-equipped flights in the area.

Curious if they might have been sky lanterns for Valentine’s Day since two of them appeared, I checked the wind conditions. It was blowing at only 2 mph in the northwest direction, while the orbs were moving southeast.

Earlier that day, I had been wishing to see something unusual to distract me from everything that’s been going on, and then this happened!

While there might be a simple explanation for what I saw, it was fascinating to experience firsthand what so many others have reported.

  1. That’s an intriguing sighting! It’s always fascinating to witness something unusual in the sky, especially when it challenges our understanding of what could be happening. The fact that the orbs were flying against the wind and that there was no aircraft traffic in the area adds to the mystery.

While sky lanterns seem like a reasonable explanation, the wind conditions really do complicate that theory. It’s interesting that you had that thought earlier in the day about wanting to see something different — it seems like the universe delivered in a unique way!

Have you considered sharing this video with local UFO or paranormal groups? They might offer more insights or even have had similar reports around the same time. It’s always helpful to connect with others who have reported similar experiences. Either way, thanks for sharing your experience! It’s a great reminder that there are still many mysteries in the skies.
