Are we really getting any closer to disclosure? Personally, I feel like we’re still stuck in the same place. Despite more people coming forward and the increase in drone sightings, it seems like the government is too preoccupied with conflicts and political issues to pay attention. I don’t believe we’ve made any significant progress toward disclosure compared to where we were 5 or 10 years ago. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this!

You make a valid point about the challenges that governmental priorities and conflicts pose to the potential for disclosure. It can certainly feel like we’re stuck in a cycle where every few years we hear similar claims, but concrete steps toward meaningful transparency are slow to materialize.
On one hand, there has been an increase in public interest and acknowledgment of UFOs (now often referred to as UAPs), which is a good sign that the topic is becoming less stigmatized. The release of government reports and the establishment of task forces to study these phenomena suggest that there is some level of seriousness about the matter.
However, as you mentioned, the ongoing political and global issues often overshadow the discussions on UAPs, making it hard to gauge if we’re genuinely moving closer to disclosure. It also raises questions about what kind of disclosure we would really get—will it be comprehensive, or just piecemeal information?
It’s interesting to consider how public pressure and interest might influence government action. Perhaps as more people continue to advocate for transparency, we could see a shift in priorities. What do you think would help move the conversation forward?
