This decision was made during a meeting a few hours ago in Tokyo.<\/p>\n<p>The parliamentary group will be led by Yasukazu Hamada, who heads parliamentary affairs for the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). Former Environment Minister Shinjiro Koizumi, also from the LDP, will assume the role of secretary-general.<\/p>\n<p>In a preliminary meeting held on Tuesday in Parliament, the group laid out plans for establishing its general assembly. The primary goal is to encourage the Japanese government to gather and analyze data on UAP and collaborate closely with the United States, where a specialized unit within the Department of Defense is already investigating these phenomena.
