{"id":6288,"date":"2025-03-25T15:09:03","date_gmt":"2025-03-25T15:09:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thataintnoplane.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/25\/west-coast-drones-3\/"},"modified":"2025-03-25T15:09:03","modified_gmt":"2025-03-25T15:09:03","slug":"west-coast-drones-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thataintnoplane.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/25\/west-coast-drones-3\/","title":{"rendered":"West Coast Drones?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>West Coast Drone Sighting?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m located in West Seattle and this morning around 1:40 AM, I spotted what appeared to be a large, silent flying object\u2014likely a \u201cdrone\u201d\u2014traveling slowly in a S\/SE direction at a low altitude. <\/p>\n<p>The craft had a unique lighting setup: it featured a leading light, a tail light, and two conventional wingtip lights, all in white, along with a solitary red beacon underneath. Notably, it lacked a green starboard light. The object was completely soundless and seemed roughly the size of a large sedan or minivan, appearing very low in the night sky.<\/p>\n<p>Being within 10 miles of SeaTac International Airport, my initial assumption was that it was a standard plane. However, the unusual arrangement of navigation lights, the irregular flight path, and the absence of any noise made me reconsider.<\/p>\n<p>If it had been a plane with landing lights on, I wouldn\u2019t have seen them so clearly as it moved away, since landing lights typically shine forward. <\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve come across several posts in local groups about strange sightings over Elliott Bay, but I haven\u2019t found anything referencing last night\u2019s occurrence.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, I couldn\u2019t get my phone camera ready in time\u2014just human error on my part.<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, I found some photos online from the East Coast that closely resemble what I saw.<\/p>\n<p>Did anyone else in Seattle notice anything unusual during the early hours of this morning?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-summary\">\nWest Coast Drone Sighting?
