There doesn\u2019t seem to be any significant folklore about them before the 1960s, despite numerous accounts of flying saucers and similar UAPs dating back to at least the Iron Age. For example, Australian lore features Wandjinas, and Hopi legends speak of ant people\u2014both of which behave quite differently from greys and are attributed with greater powers, such as the ability to summon storms.
