Sighting in High Rolls, NM<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is my first time posting on Reddit, but I need to share something unexplainable that happened to me. My wife and I were in High Rolls for a two-night stay during our New Mexico trip, enjoying our time in a \u2018glamping\u2019 Airbnb atop a valley. <\/p>\n

On a particularly clear night, with hardly any clouds in sight, we were relaxing around the fire pit, stargazing and listening to music. Out of nowhere, I instinctively pointed at something in the sky\u2014honestly, I don\u2019t even know what I was aiming at. Immediately, a brilliant white light appeared in the same vicinity, hovering around the level of the clouds. We never saw the actual object due to the intense brightness, but it had an oval-circular shape. It seemed like it was already in motion the moment it appeared. The light was visible for about three seconds as it sped across the sky from east to west at approximately a 200-degree angle, and I estimate it was about 20-30 meters long. <\/p>\n

Then, just like that, the bright light disappeared. After a few moments of stunned silence, my wife and I exchanged wide-eyed expressions and muttered, \u201cWhat the f*ck was that?\u201d The next day, I researched potential explanations just to rule out anything conventional. Here\u2019s what I found: <\/p>\n

  1. Debris from Musk\u2019s rocket launch that exploded during takeoff\u2014however, that incident occurred far away from our location. <\/li>\n
  2. A shooting star\u2014there was no visible trail, and pictures I found online didn\u2019t match what we saw at all. Plus, it was too close to the ground. <\/li>\n
  3. A meteor breaking up in the atmosphere\u2014the issue is that the object we witnessed wasn\u2019t descending; it was moving horizontally. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I truly can\u2019t explain what my wife and I experienced, but it was incredible to witness. I\u2019d appreciate any insights or explanations. I have a keen interest in UFOs and remain open-minded about the possibility of extraterrestrial life. <\/p>\n

    P.S.<\/strong> Throughout the night, we spotted planes, helicopters, and satellites. I can easily distinguish these from what we saw, which was entirely different.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
