Although it’s lengthy, it features intriguing visuals all the way through. There are some sections where the camera seems to capture the skyline and darker patches of sky rather than anything specific. I was attempting to film some unusual dark clouds nestled among the more typical ones.

What made these clouds stand out was their stark contrast with the surrounding clouds and the fact that no light penetrated them, unlike the lighter clouds which allowed glimpses of the skyline. Unfortunately, the clouds didn’t quite come through in the footage.

To preemptively address common concerns: these lights were not conventional aircraft, despite any red or green lights you might spot. The video quality isn’t the best—recorded through double-pane glass with an iPhone 12—but they appeared much clearer to my naked eye. I’m also knowledgeable about the lighting requirements for different aircraft classes. Many of the “lights” were not in motion like an airplane; instead, they hovered or moved back and forth without gaining or losing altitude. Considering our distance from the airport and proximity to city buildings, they were too low to be conventional aircraft.

Towards the end of the flight, one orange-hued light seemed to approach us, keeping pace as we neared the runway. It slowed down and pulled away just before we landed, far too close for comfort for any typical aircraft. The lights bore a resemblance to the neutron from “Jimmy Neutron,” but the outer sections were spinning around the center at an incredibly fast rate. Some of the lights also appeared to move in synchronization and formed triangle formations in the sky, holding their positions alongside other lights.

Having flown in and out of this airport for 17 years and being familiar with the airspace around Logan, I’ve never encountered anything even remotely like this during my travels.

Video Captures Unexplained Lights/UAPs in Boston from Airplane Exactly one week ago, I recorded this video while flying into Boston Logan Airport.
