I live in a small town in far northern Oklahoma, where the night sky is typically quite clear, making star gazing a favorite activity of mine. Although it was a bit cloudy tonight, I noticed the stars gradually emerging from the darkness.  <\/p>\n<p>I first saw three stars appear close to one another, one of which I think could have been Mars\u2014though I didn\u2019t check my sky guide on my phone. But very quickly, I realized that the tiniest one in the center wasn&#8217;t a star at all. It was a small blue object that suddenly began moving downwards at an alarming speed. It was distant enough that tracking it was a challenge, and I didn\u2019t see any blinking lights that you\u2019d expect from a drone or airplane. Instead, it was just this bright blue orb racing downward faster than anything I\u2019ve ever seen from that distance.  <\/p>\n<p>After it vanished behind the clouds, I kept glancing up at the sky. About 15 minutes later, I spotted it again, this time moving to my left. There were still no flashing lights or indicators that it was an aircraft of any kind. It was traveling at an incredible speed, and within a minute, it was out of sight again. It seemed to be moving with purpose, not like a falling star or any natural phenomenon. The rapid movement startled me. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?  <\/p>\n<p>There aren\u2019t any major airports or military bases nearby that I know of\u2014Tulsa International Airport is about an hour away, and that\u2019s the closest.
