The tale may have been translated from French or another language into English, but it had a vibe similar to the movie The Abyss<\/em>. <\/p>\n In the story, a deep-sea diver encounters an alien creature that warns him of an impending global catastrophe. The creature communicates with him telepathically, revealing a crack in the Earth’s crust that will lead to catastrophic water displacement.
