Close Encounter: Black Triangle Sighting, 2004<\/strong>

I reported this experience to MUFON back then, but I never received a response. Here’s what happened: while standing on my wife\u2019s apartment balcony (we would get married just three months later), I was enjoying a smoke and gazing at the night sky, with I-25 directly across the street. <\/p>\n

Suddenly, the stars in my line of sight vanished. After a moment of confusion, I realized they were being obscured by something massive. The craft was so dark that I could only discern its shape by the stars it blocked out as it moved. I managed to focus on it and saw an enormous triangle-shaped object about 300 yards away. As it came closer\u2014about 150 yards away\u2014I noticed the pointed end facing forward in the direction of its movement, traveling at roughly 45 mph. <\/p>\n

As it passed by, the only sound I picked up was a faint “whooshing” noise, which might have just been the air displacement caused by its size. When the rear came into view, I noticed three dim amber lights or vents\u2014it’s hard to say which\u2014no other lights were visible anywhere else on the craft. It followed the highway at about 500 feet in altitude until it disappeared from sight. <\/p>\n

There were no lights underneath or on the tips of the triangle. The object was enormous, darker than anything I\u2019d ever seen, and almost completely silent. If I hadn’t been paying close attention, I probably wouldn\u2019t have even noticed the sound it made as it passed by. <\/p>\n
