Date:<\/strong> July 13, 2004, around midnight I reported this incident to MUFON back then but never received any follow-up. Here’s what happened: I was standing on my wife\u2019s apartment balcony (we were married three months later) enjoying a cigarette and gazing up at the night sky, with I-25 visible across the street.<\/p>\n Suddenly, the stars I was looking at vanished. For a moment, I was confused until I realized they were being obscured by something. It was so dark that the only way I could see it was by observing the stars it hid behind. After focusing, I spotted an enormous triangular object approximately 300 yards away. As it approached, I could see the pointed tip facing forward, moving in the direction of about 45 mph.<\/p>\n As it passed by\u2014now only about 150 yards away\u2014the only sound I sensed was a soft “whooshing,” barely audible. This could have been caused by the air displacement around its massive form. When the rear of the craft came into view, I noticed three faint amber lights or vents, but nothing else illuminated on the craft. It followed the highway at an altitude of around 500 feet until it disappeared from my sight.<\/p>\n There were no lights beneath or on the tips of the triangle. It was colossal, darker than anything I had ever seen, and almost completely silent. If I hadn’t been deliberately watching it, I probably wouldn’t have even noticed the faint sound it made.
