I initially reported this to MUFON, but I never received a response. Here\u2019s what happened: while standing on my wife’s apartment balcony (we were married three months later), I was enjoying a smoke and gazing at the night sky with I-25 just across the street.<\/p>\n

Out of nowhere, the stars I had been watching vanished. Confused for a moment, I quickly realized they were being obscured by something massive… which it was. The object was so black that the only way I could see it was by the stars being blocked out as it moved in front of them. I managed to get my bearings and spotted an enormous triangular craft about 300 yards away. As it came closer\u2014perhaps 150 yards from me\u2014 I saw the pointed end facing forward, the direction it was traveling at approximately 45 mph.<\/p>\n

As it passed, I caught a faint “whooshing” noise, barely audible. This could have been due to the air displacement caused by the massive craft. Upon reaching the back end, I noticed three very dim, amber-colored lights or vents, though it was hard to tell. There were no other lights anywhere on the craft. I watched as it followed the highway at an altitude of roughly 500 feet, until it disappeared from view.<\/p>\n

There weren’t any lights underneath it or at the triangle’s tips. It appeared enormous, darker than anything I\u2019d ever seen, and nearly silent. If I hadn\u2019t been watching closely, I might have completely missed that slight sound it made as it passed by, but I was fully alert.<\/p>\n
