I don\u2019t claim to be an expert, but I\u2019ve never seen anything like what I witnessed last night.  <\/p>\n<p>While my partner and I were out walking our dog for the last time that evening, I was stargazing as we chatted. Suddenly, I noticed an incredibly bright, highly saturated orange orb in the sky. It was much larger and brighter than any of the stars nearby. I quickly shined my flashlight on it and exclaimed, &#8220;Uh, what the heck is that?!&#8221; But before my partner could even turn to look, it vanished!  <\/p>\n<p>It all happened so fast! The orb was hovering there for a moment before it zipped off over the horizon at an astonishing speed. There\u2019s no way it could have been a commercial drone or any typical aerial object it was just too quick! I\u2019ve never seen a shooting star or comet in person, so I considered that, but it was so bright, totally silent, and remained stationary until it took off. Then just like that, it was gone.  <\/p>\n<p>I know there\u2019s been a surge in sightings recently, but as a lifelong space enthusiast who loves the strange and mysterious, this experience left me with more questions than answers.
