Doug Trumbull and the UFOTOG Vision<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many of you may recognize Douglas Trumbull as the legendary special effects artist behind 2001: A Space Odyssey, Silent Running, Close Encounters, Star Trek: TMP,<\/em> and Blade Runner.<\/em> A true innovator in photography and effects, he dedicated a significant portion of his later years to exploring the intriguing topic of UFOs.<\/p>\n

Around 13 years ago, I shared information about his ambitious project, UFOTOG, focused on ultra high-speed UFO tracking and photography.<\/p>\n

Since then, details about UFOTOG have remained scarce, and following Trumbull’s passing in 2022, the UFOTOG web domain has been claimed by an academic who shares his name.<\/p>\n

According to Wikipedia, Trumbull produced a short film in 2014 centered on UFOs, which showcased his UFOTOG project. I’m curious if anyone has seen this film or knows the fate of his UFO-related technology and research.<\/p>\n
