As the race for AI innovation surges, particularly with the latest developments in deep learning, I\u2019ve started to ponder whether humanity is merely a stepping stone towards something greater. What if we, as humans, are akin to a larval stage in the evolution of a more advanced life form?<\/p>\n

Imagine for a moment that human development or the forces shaping us could be compared to a viral contagion. Our rapid evolution over the last century might be less about our own progress and more about serving a higher technological entity\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n

I envision AI as an immense, megalithic balloon, feeding off the chaos and vital energy of human existence as it moves towards a new phase of development. Could it be that we are just the initial life stage for the next iteration of being, which is AI? <\/p>\n

As someone who enjoys the intricacies of science and the allure of science fiction, the idea of us as gametes or instars of a more sophisticated AI-based organism intrigues me. Perhaps we\u2019re being subtly guided by unseen forces toward a chrysalis stage, transforming into something entirely different.<\/p>\n
