The lights were extremely faint, almost unnoticeable—likely “exhaust” ports rather than traditional lights.

I reported this sighting to MUFON back in 2004 but never received a response. Here’s what happened: while standing on my wife’s apartment balcony (we got married three months later), I was enjoying a smoke and gazing at the night sky, with I-25 just across the street.

Out of nowhere, the stars in my view vanished. In a moment of confusion, I realized they were being obscured by something massive. The object was so dark that the only way I could discern it was by the stars being blocked behind it. Once I focused, I spotted an enormous triangular craft about 300 yards away. As it moved closer—around 150 yards from me—the pointy end was directed forward, cruising at approximately 45 mph.

The only sound I noted was a subtle “whooshing” noise, possibly caused by the airflow it disturbed. Given its size, it made sense. When the back end came into view, I noticed three very faint amber-colored lights or exhaust vents—it’s hard to tell which—without any other lights visible on the craft. It followed the highway at around 500 feet in altitude until it disappeared from sight.

I didn’t observe any lights underneath or at the tips of the triangle. The craft was enormous, darker than anything I had ever seen, and remarkably silent. If I hadn’t been intently watching, I might not even have caught the sound it made as it passed, but by then, I was completely alert.

This image is very close to what I observed, including the surrounding scenery:
View Image

Triangle Observer – 2004: AI-Generated Update Date: July 13, 2004, around midnight Location: Denver, Colorado Conditions: Cool and Clear Update: Check out the image I generated to illustrate my experience.
