Some suggested that what I spotted might be Starlink satellites. I was open to that idea until I just saw one shining brighter than anything else in the sky, even while obscured by a substantial cloud. You can see how it reflects off the sea, despite being deep within the cloud. From my viewpoint, it really looks like it\u2019s quite close\u2014almost on this side of the cloud.
