Time:<\/strong> February 24, 2025, 6:35 PM EST From what I’ve gathered about the “drone” incidents recently, I think my sighting may be connected. While it wasn’t dramatically cinematic or overtly UFO-like, it was truly uncanny and a unique experience for me. I’m not sure what I witnessed. <\/p>\n I plan to post this on a local subreddit to see if anyone else in my area noticed anything strange in the sky tonight. This is a densely populated region, so I’m curious…<\/p>\n While having dinner with my wife and children, I heard an unusual helicopter noise through the closed windows around 6:35 PM. I stepped outside onto the back porch, and a few seconds later, I spotted what appeared to be a helicopter, judging by the rotor sounds and red blinking lights\u2014nothing too extraordinary at first. <\/p>\n Initially, the view was obstructed by a row of 70-foot pine trees lining the back of my yard, which is about 60 yards away. The helicopter was flying west to east over my property and had just cleared the treetops. It was notably higher than those trees but lower than the typical altitude of planes in the area\u2014more at the height you\u2019d expect from a news or police helicopter. <\/p>\n I watched it for 3-5 seconds as it continued its path across the sky above me. By the time it was halfway over my yard, I formulated a rough idea of its height and size, and I wasn\u2019t particularly captivated\u2014it was just a helicopter. But then things took a strange turn that solidified my perception of the event.<\/p>\n Out of nowhere, an extremely bright, warm white ball of light suddenly appeared about 10-15 helicopter lengths in front of the aircraft, right in its flight path. I was certain, based on my observations of the helicopter’s height, speed, and distance, that this bright light was a separate object being pursued by the helicopter.<\/p>\n Despite the seemingly mundane scene\u2014a helicopter in the night sky with a white light\u2014it was shocking to witness. I gasped in surprise, standing there in disbelief until my elementary school-aged son rushed outside. He caught sight of it for a few seconds before the helicopter and the light moved out of view over our house. After a brief, excited discussion with my wife, who remained at the dinner table with our daughter, my son and I dashed to the front of the house to see if we could still spot them.<\/p>\n We made it to the driveway just in time to catch the final moments of their passage before they were blocked by the trees across the street. <\/p>\n The white light was still glowing, far brighter and larger than any lights I\u2019ve seen on planes before. It had a unique quality\u2014more like a glowing orb than a typical spotlight. It was astonishing to see it being followed by a helicopter. What struck me most was that the light was completely hidden until just a moment after I stepped outside. <\/p>\n In total, I saw both objects together for about 10 seconds\u2014first in the backyard and then for a few moments when they crossed in front of the house. <\/p>\n Did anyone else witness this?
