{"id":1796,"date":"2025-03-10T09:40:24","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T09:40:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thataintnoplane.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/10\/serious-little-gray-men\/"},"modified":"2025-03-10T09:40:24","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T09:40:24","slug":"serious-little-gray-men","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thataintnoplane.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/10\/serious-little-gray-men\/","title":{"rendered":"Serious &#8220;little gray men&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Thoughts on the &#8220;Little Gray Men&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\nI had an interesting realization about non-human intelligence (NHI) while searching for a green emoji \ud83c\udf4f \u2013 the alien face emoji popped up \ud83d\udc7d, which got me thinking about the classic phrase &#8220;Little GREEN men.&#8221; What if the phrase originally referred to &#8220;Little GRAY men,&#8221; and over time it morphed into &#8220;green&#8221; as a form of mockery or just due to a simple misunderstanding?  <\/p>\n<p>A bit of research led me to this article: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.history.com\/news\/little-green-men-origins-aliens-hopkinsville-kelly\">The Origins of Little Green Men<\/a>, which talks about the metallic gray humanoids sighted in 1955.  <\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, when I type &#8220;aliens&#8221; on my keyboard, I see a variety of blue Djinn-like figures \ud83d\udc7d\ud83d\udc7e\ud83e\uddde\ud83e\uddde\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\ud83e\uddde\u200d\u2642\ufe0f\ud83d\udef8. It\u2019s fascinating how the smallest details can shape our perceptions on various topics.  <\/p>\n<p>Always remember to question everything!  <\/p>\n<p><strong>In short:<\/strong> Maybe it\u2019s been those Little GRAY men all along\u2026<br \/>\nThat\u2019s it for now.
