The claims made by Hadley Cantril about mass panic following the broadcast\u2014suggesting that a million people were thrown into hysteria\u2014appear to lack substantial evidence. If anyone has a valid counterexample of mass panic from this event, I\u2019m open to hearing it, but I remain skeptical of the narratives presented. <\/p>\n
